CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

The Ohio Association of Rheumatology (OAR) is now accepting abstract submissions for the OAR 21st Annual Meeting, taking place Aug. 21-22, 2026, at The Ohioan Hotel & Event Center in Lewis Center, Ohio.

OAR invites Ohio-based rheumatology fellows, residents, medical students and advanced practice providers to submit abstracts highlighting unique clinical cases, research findings and educational projects relevant to rheumatology practice and patient care.

Abstract Submission Deadline: July 22, 2026 (Extended deadline!)   |    Notification of Acceptance: July 27, 2026 

Case presentations should involve patients with known or suspected rheumatic disease. Selected abstracts will be featured as podium or poster presentations during the Annual Meeting, providing trainees with the opportunity to present their work to rheumatology physicians from across Ohio while connecting with peers and leaders.

Selected trainee presenters will receive one night of hotel accommodations and travel support to attend the meeting. A prize will also be presented for the top abstract presentation.
