The Ohio Association of Rheumatology:

• Advocates for and protects patient access to the full spectrum of appropriate treatments for rheumatic diseases.
• Fosters the growth, education, and professional development of students, trainees, and practicing rheumatology professionals.
• Collaborates with organizations that share a commitment to advancing rheumatology care, advocacy, and patient outcomes.
• Promotes excellence in the delivery and quality of rheumatology services for patients across the state.
• Supports rheumatology practices by addressing regulatory, financial, and operational challenges that impact the ability of providers to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Advances the specialty of rheumatology through education, advocacy, leadership development, and strategic partnerships.

Founded in 2003, the Ohio Association of Rheumatology (OAR) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization representing rheumatologists, advanced practice providers, and trainees committed to advancing patient care, supporting the profession, and improving musculoskeletal health for communities across Ohio.
